I hate work.
So when will the Random Thoughts return? Heck, if I know. Could be a couple of hours. Could be a couple of days. Just call me Wade Miller.

- Simply stated, I am a sports nut who will watch any game that is available to me. A buddy once asked, "would you even watch Stony Brook vs. Binghamton if it had an effect on the conference race?" My answer..."I would watch a replay of Stony Brook and Binghamton even if both teams are on probation!" I love a well-executed offense, hitting the cutoff man, and believe in taking a strike. My pet peeves are failing to get a runner home from third with less than two outs, pitchers getting behind in the count, and, of course, when people fly the 'W' flag in violation of the rules...

I'm sorry, but I could not let a day go by without at least mentioning the Maurice Clarett story...BIZARRE! He basically invites the cops on a chase by performing an illegal u-turn, gets stopped, resists arrest, avoids being tasered by wearing a bullet-proof vest (who the hell wears a bullet-proof vest), and is finally subdued by mace. Sounds to me like he went out looking for trouble - he had several knives and guns in his car with him when he was stopped. What a shame.
A shame that the taser didn't work? I wonder if he was planning to go postal. Why else would you have that many guns in the car if you aren't Scottie Pippen?
I have actually seen a taser demonstration - it works dramatically and instantaneously. I can only imagine what went through the cop's mind when Mo didn't hit the ground from the taser.
