Work Stinks

It's another crazy week at work and, therefore, it is unlikely that I will be posting on a regular basis.

You will have to just keep checking the site. Thanks for your support!

Two quick U of I notes...

* Kudos to the Daily Southtown for this clever line on Eric Gordon's decision to attend IU instead of Illinois... "Even Chief Illiniwek is calling Eric Gordon an indian giver."

* Nice to see Ohio defeat Buffalo this past weekend 42-7. That ought to really help the Illini's strength of schedule.

Hey, cudjoekey, when you stick the knife in, try to wiggle it around a little more so it REALLY hurts.

Why didn't you comment that Illinois had more rushing yards, more passing yards and, I believe, won time of possession and STILL managed to lose by 2 TD's to Penn State?

We had a candidate from U of I come in to interview today. He tripped on his own feet on the way into the interviewer’s office. Thought that RT audience would like to know.

FavreWatch is at 405.

I just checked on weather.com and found that it's raining in Champaign and Urbana, but nowhere else in the country.

In the interest of complete disclosure, the FavreWatch is now at 405 AND 260. It is still not clear which record will fall first.

Cheers to Michigan State for putting an even more embarrassing loss on Northwestern than the Bears put on the Cardinals (who have since suffered an even more ignominous defeat).

Hey allin....Last I checked West Laughy ette isn't exactly the valley of the sun!!!! And for that matter, Lets throw kudos out to East Lansing, Happy Valley and of course, lovely Evanston IL. Me thinks the whole of the little 10 stinks!!!!! Including Michigan who's "big" win comes over a Notre Dame team that had to come from behind to beat the unmentionable team in green that lost to the boys from Urbana!!!!!!!! Even OSU who's lone quality win came against a team which was starting (in his 1st start) a kid named after the least accurate firearm of all time. As for the rest of the puny 11, well for this week props to the Badgers for mowing down the 3rd best team in Indiana (maybe) and a belated congrats to Indiana on their first 4 win season since...Hmmm maybe Antuan Randle El was running and throwing and basically annoying the rest of the MAC..er um Big 10! Oh and as for Minnesota, didn't know that they started hockey this early, 10-9 over N. Dakota State? Sounds like the need new goaltenders, no way that could be a football score right??

The storm continues in beautiful Champaign-Urbana......Rich McBride has been suspended for 4 games resulting from a DUI arrest earlier this year. I guess he was trying to drown his sorrows in a glass of chianti over ice.
